About/Our Story

 

Our current project portfolio includes schools, new build houses & residential refurbishments. We are firm believers that if the design process is run well and the lines of communication are strong, then the best results will follow. We think design is a great idea followed by a good conversation.

Rod Allan

 

Rod established ROAM Architects with Amanda to realise their commitment to creating a great collaborative architecture firm. Prior to forming ROAM Architects, Rod worked as a Practice Director at Australian practice BVN, where his projects included a new workplace for legal practice Allens. Whilst in the UK, Rod worked for prominent Dutch architect Erick van Egeraat, and was project architect on a number of urban design and public architecture projects including the Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art. Rod is a registered architect in Australia (VIC) and the UK.

Amanda Robinson

 

One of the founding partners of ROAM Architects, Amanda is involved with the design and development of all projects with a strong focus on concept design and design development. Amanda’s previous experience extends across a range of projects from high profile retail, masterplanning & health care projects to crafted and highly detailed residential & interior fit-outs. Working for a number of years in the UK, Amanda was an Associate at HOK International in London, and is a UK registered architect.
