HOPEVILLE HOUSE

Kingsville Renovation Hopeville House Vertical Board Painted

About This Project

Retaining it’s original name of ‘Hopeville’, this renovation of an existing house on a corner site in Kingsville, within a heritage overlay, had to meet the needs of a growing family who love the outdoors. The brief called for 4 bedrooms, 2 living spaces and new open plan living – without compromising on outdoor space for a young family. The existing house has a lovely feel which was important to maintain, whilst the new extension we wanted to keep modern and crisp. A new open plan living, dining kitchen area opens up at the rear to an outdoor decked and grassed area for entertaining and playing. The materials are brick and timber at ground level and painted vertical boarding at first floor level. The white painted pergola frames the rear entertaining deck and folds down to become a slatted fence and gate to the side street.
